Location of Therapy
Therapy is available at Delco Speech Center in Wallingford, PA, as well as in homes, schools, preschools, and other natural environments throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. We value providing therapy in natural settings when appropriate, allowing our therapists to collaborate closely with families, teachers, and caregivers and promote carryover of skills into everyday life.
Length of Therapy Session
Speech-Language and Feeding Therapy sessions are typically 40-50 minutes. The frequency of therapy is often 1x per week but can vary based on individual needs. Therapy goals are usually set to be achieved in 12 weeks. At the end of the 12 weeks we typically discuss progress and determine if it is a good point for a break or if we want to continue and work on additional goals.
What does therapy look like?
Speech-Language Therapy is fun for children and adults. Learning actually improves when it occurs in a natural activity and we are engaged! We are often able to embed our goals into preferred activities to keep everyone motivated.
